Most of the CopyBox tower duplicators can be ordered including an optional
internal hard drive. Some models like the "PC-Connected" duplicators have a hard
drive build in as standard.
The internal hard drive allows CD, DVD and Blu-Ray "Image Files" to be stored on
the CopyBox duplicator. Once a "Master" disc is transferred to the CopyBox
internal hard drive, the master disc is no longer required for duplication.
Duplication from hard drive ensures a 100% stable data troughput. Also,
read-errors during duplication are no longer possible. When duplicating
"On-The-Fly" (directly from disc to disc) read-errors can occur when a master
disc is damaged, filty or low quality. Duplication from the internal hard drive
allows the use of high copy speeds.
Most important advantages:
Maximum duplication speeds; the DVD drive in a CopyBox duplicator allows a maximum
read speed of 16x. If data is copied from the internal hard drive even higher copy speeds
can be achieved. However, to ensure a good write quality we recommend using 8x
speed for DVD and 24x speed for CD.
Maximum stable data throughput; a hard drive offers a more stable data trougput
compared to a CD/DVD optical drive. There is no possibillity of having
read-errors during duplication from hard drive. If duplicating "On-the-Fly"
read-errors can occur when a master disc is damaged, filty or low quality.
The internal hard dive allows multiple CD/DVD/Blu-Ray images files which needs to be use
frequently to be stored on the CopyBox system. The original master disc is no
longer required for duplication once an image file is transferred to the
internal hard drive.
